The Wrangler Rubicon (named for the famed Rubicon Trail in the Sierra Nevada Mountains) was introduced in the summer of 2002 and was manufactured for the TJ and LJ through July of 2006. It featured front and rear air actuated locking Dana 44 axles with the Rock-Trac NV241 4:1 ratio transfer case, diamond plate rocker panels, 16-inch alloy wheels, and Goodyear MTR P245/75-R16 tires.

Jeep really nailed it right on the head when they released the Wrangler Rubicon. With dual lockers, Dana 44 axles at both ends, 31″ tires and more, there is little more that a Jeeper could want from an out-of-the-box rig.
