wiring diagram for mast lights and bow lights | Sailboat ...

My current problem is that when my mast was put back up, my mast lights and bow light no longer function on my 1987 Hunter 26.5 sailboat. The wiring is likely all original and and thus not tinned. The wiring also has a lot of black electrical tape above the deck. The stern light does function. The forward cabin light also does not function.

We had a few things left to do: drill wires for the steaming light, pull wires for the top light and the steaming light (actually a steaming-deck light combo) through to the bottom, connect and solder the wires to the lights, connect the lights, and connect the wires from the mast to wires going into the cabin somehow.

Here is what I show. Look at the female deck receptacle, with the large pin hole at twelve o'clock. The large pin is the common (ground) and connects to the red wire. The receptacle pin at 4 o'clock is the steaming light and connects to the blue wire. The pin at 8 o'clock is the mast (or anchor) light and connects to the green wire.

Wiring as Par said but not putting in the plug at the bottom of the mast. Somewhere before the mast put in a "service loop" this is just an extra length of cable should you need it at a later date. If you need to remove the mast, then you can cut the cable and insert a plug should the need ever arise.
