How to wire Inter

Wow, thank you. My troubles are: 1. phone systems are not my core strength. 2. I started the process by wiring the LSC incorrectly: I stripped the DB9 to this card and wired 5 incoming lines from a cable modem's terminated Cat-3 female, each to a Cat-3 cable with males on both ends, each to 5 Cat-3 females, each of which has 1 pair of wires: Blue, Brown, Orange, Violet, & Green pairs.

This will allow you the ability to program the system as well as acquaint yourself with features you may not have known existed previously.

I am installing a new hx5000 to replace my customers inter tel axxess system. I was able to do a conversion on the database and get it loaded into the 5000. We are reusing 95 of their current model phones 8520 and standard digital terminal part# 550.4400. I plugged both model phones into the 5000 and couldn't get them to come up.

This wiring change is relevant if an installer tries to try to replace an older 8520 or 8560 Telephone with a new 8528 or 8568 Telephone. Installers will likely need to rewire the jack. In addition, the older phones 8520 / 8560 Telephones were polarity sensitive and Tip and Ring had to be matched appropriately.
