My "Seat Belt" idiot light now comes on and stays on in the 1st and 2nd light switch position. It does not illuminate at all with the switch off. I don't believe it EVER came on before replacing the switch. I thought this was a "courtesy" light is supposed to go out after some time (through a relay). Is this correct?

Ok, the driver seat is in...no seat belt light or chime and no air bag light! Disconnected the battery, removed the seat and removed the complete harness from the OEM seat and plugged it in the floor connector, including the dummy plug (must be for the side airbag harness, not equipped on this car).

Ok, so I have this machine in my shop that some donkey has disconnected the seat belt switch and bypassed the seat switch, my problem is the wiring for the seat belt switch is gone, and I'd like to reconnect this .. Yesterday I turned the passenger seat round and the wire hanging down from the seat belt tensioner caught in the 'locking' point of the swivel seats and cut in two triggering an airbag warning light - The wire is loose underneath the seat and could easily be caught at any time.
