Wiring for Heated Grips | Victory Motorcycles: Motorcycle ...

I'm installing heated grips on a '13 XC, but the wiring has me confused. The instructions say to hook up the Blue & Brown wires (Black to Ground) to their corresponding wires in the main harness. Well I couldn't locate them so I downloaded the Service Manual wiring diagrams and it only shows the Blue being connected.

Victory Heated Grips (2877658) is used in Grips & Pegs assembly for 2012 Victory HIGHBALL (V12WB36NA), Grips & Pegs assembly for 2008 Victory VISION ALL OPTIONS ... Their wiring plugs into the bike’s electrical system. Requires Chrome Auxiliary Switch Mount (2877659; sold separately).

I'm looking for a good place to tap in for power for heated hand grips. I see on the wiring diagram that there is supposed to be a plug already there for them but I looked all around all the wiring by the handlebars and forks and under the seat and I can't find it.

This is the wiring diagram for the stock factory heated grips on a R100GS. It is similar, except for showing the kill switch and some other interconnections or methods, to all the other Airheads heated grips wiring. All Airhead heated grips use the same sort of hi/lo switch and wiring at the grips and that switch; and connect to a fuse.

Took the RSI off and put on a old set of Polly grip heaters thAt slide over the bars. It's two wires and they use the inside of the grip as a ground. Spent 6 hours on that and they don't heat up past 99 degrees. Two black wires go to high and black with red line goes to low and used my lighting wire for power and still no go.

A quick google around the theme of 'fitting heated grips' will throw up plenty of good instructional videos and illustrated guides. You won't kill yourself or set fire to anything. Probably.
